November Update

Parents Association November News

 

Dress Up for Halloween
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Halloween Dress up. The children raised €370 for this years charity, The LauraLynn House, Leopardstown Road.  Well done to all the monsters and spooks, super-heroes and princesses who showed up on the day.

 

Holy Trinity Parents Morning Cuppa
Please join us on Thursday 1st of December after drop off to have a cuppa and a chat. We will be there from 8.50am till 11am with the kettle on and the biscuits ready. Looking forward to seeing you then!

 

Christmas Decorations – Decorating the School
The PA will be organising the annual decorating of the school for Christmas on the evening of Thursday 1st of December. Everyone is welcome to come along.  Contact  a member of the PA for details.

 

Parent Teacher Meetings
Parent Teacher meetings are ongoing this week (week starting Nov 21st). You will have been notified of how this affects after-school activities. – if in doubt, please contact the school .

 

School Board of Management Elections

Congratulations to Adele O’Kelly and Malachy Spain who have been elected the new parent members of the Board.

 

Calling all Knitters!
If you know how to knit, and are willing and able to help  4th Class students to  learn this skill on Thursdays, then please contact Mrs Fitzgerald (4th Class) or Aileen on 087 6736161.

 

PA Committee and Groups – Update

Here is a brief update of the activities of some of the groups.

 

  • Milestones & Moments Girls Night Out Event – Thursday 3rd November
    A big thanks to all who supported our Girls Night Out and in particular to our two gorgeous models Niamh and Maebh who did a fantastic job on the catwalk. A great night of fun and shopping was had by all and we raised €675 for the school!

 

  • Christmas Fair
    Don’t forget to support our Christmas Fair, which is being held on Sunday 4th December from 1-5pm. Many thanks to those who contributed to the Christmas Fair Collections last week, however if you still have items to donate, especially bottles, please drop them into the school any day. By now you will have received raffle tickets to sell – if you require more books there are lots more available from the office. This year there is a Sellers draw, with the chance to win a Nintendo 3DS for one lucky child. Remember closing date for returning tickets is Wednesday 30th November.

 

 

 

  • Baby & Toddler Group
    The Baby & Toddler Group is open every Wednesday morning, from 10:00 am to 12 noon.  A warm welcome to Patricia Duke who is the new Baby & Toddler Group co-ordinator. Many thanks to Caroline Aylward for her years of service to this valuable  community resource.

 

  • Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop is open once a month at the school from 1.30-2.45pm. The next date for the Uniform Shop is Friday 9th December however if anyone needs to buy something in between please, contact Tara Brophy 086 6007327 or enquire at the school office.  We are always looking for Holy Trinity uniform items, as the shop runs on your donations! All clothing is in good condition or new.  All proceeds are forwarded to the school.  Prices are as follows: V neck jumpers from €2 / Pinafores from €2 / Skirts from €3 / Trousers from €2 / Tracksuit Bottoms from €5 and Tops from €5.

 

  • Fruit Friday
    Thanks to all those who volunteered for Fruit Friday, in particular the Senior Infants parents during October. We are hoping to see first class parents taking part during November,  and Second Class in December. We meet each Friday morning from 8:50am in the Teachers Staff Room/Kitchen.  If you volunteered to help with Fruit Friday, drop in and say hello on Friday.

 

  • Film Club
    The October Film Club raised €190 – thanks to all who helped! The November film club will be held on Friday November 25th. It is the turn of first class parents to come along and help supervise the boys and girls while they relax and watch the movie with their friends. Please contact Carol Cooney or the class reps for first class: Janette O’Riordan & Angie Keane. Alternatively, pop  into Julie in the office if you can help.

 

The next PA meeting takes place on Monday, December 12th in Holy Trinity at 8:30pm.
