Music and The Arts

Children engage in Music, Drama and Performing Arts as part of our curriculum programme. This involves a wide variety of music, dance and drama, where children are able to develop their creative talents. As well as during these sessions, there are many other opportunities for children to perform and shine such as Whole School assemblies. During the year, pupils attend concerts in our school hall. In October, Graffiti Classics performed an energetic and engaging concert for all classes. This year, Fifth and Sixth class pupils took part in the National Children's Choir and performed in the Basketball arena with a number of local schools.

At Holy Trinity, we offer an exciting Visual Arts programme which is based on learning through inquiry. It provides opportunities for students to create and respond to the arts. The Arts Education curriculum consists of three subjects: Music, Drama and Visual arts. The curriculum enables children to explore and express ideas, feelings and experiences through music, drama and the visual arts. The Visual arts curriculum is for children from Junior Infants to Sixth class. The curriculum consists of six strands: Drawing, Paint and Colour, Print, Clay, Construction, Fabric and Fibre. Our School Arts week takes place each year in early June.
